Handcrafted stoneware, made in Oxfordshire
A mini mug for those who collect purposefully. Hand-thrown from stoneware and fired to Cone 6, this miniature holds its character in a small space. It's functional. Technically capable of holding a warm drink for the morning ritual or afternoon pause. But it thrives most as a sculptural object on display. Each piece carries the warmth of handcrafted making in our Oxfordshire studio. Small in scale. Generous in presence. It earns its place in your home.
Form & Character
The mini mug sits comfortably in the palm of your hand. Its form is refined, balanced, with a subtle handle that curves naturally. The stoneware surface holds texture and depth. It's not precious or fragile, but substantial and real. Thrown on the wheel and finished by hand, the shape reads clearly and confidently. Small in scale, it anchors a shelf or windowsill. A considered piece that stands on its own merit. It invites close looking, turning it over in your hand to feel the weight and surface, to appreciate the form.
Made for the table, built for display
While technically functional, food-safe, chip-resistant, and capable of holding morning coffee or afternoon tea, this mini mug's real life is on display. You'll find yourself reaching for it not to drink, but to place it where it anchors a space. On a shelf among your books. On a windowsill where light catches it. On a desk beside your work. Some collectors use theirs as a tiny catch-all. Others simply live with it, turning it to catch light at different times of day. Its small scale makes it perfect for spaces where larger vessels would overwhelm. Your home, your choice how it lives.
Handcrafted in Oxfordshire
Each mini mug is thrown by hand on the wheel at our Oxfordshire studio. The clay is centred, raised, shaped, and refined through repeated passes. The handle is added by hand. A small gesture of making that links every piece to the maker's hands. After throwing, each mug is left to firm, trimmed at the base, and then finished by hand. The maker works in small batches, so no two pieces are exactly alike. These variations, slight shifts in shape and form, are not defects. They're evidence of the hands that made them. They're proof of craft.
Quality & care
This mini mug is fired to Cone 6, a measure of heatwork that matters more than peak temperature alone. At Cone 6, the stoneware clay body becomes dense, hard-wearing and non-porous. The glaze is food-safe and chip-resistant. The surface won't show wear or damage from daily contact. Dishwasher safe, though we recommend hand-washing to preserve the surface and enjoy the ritual of care. It's built for everyday use or for display that lasts a lifetime. Each piece arrives ready to live in your home.
About Brooker Ceramics
Brooker Ceramics is a working studio in Oxfordshire, making functional ware and sculptural ceramics by hand. The maker throws, glazes, and fires every piece. The studio's YouTube community has grown to over 25,000 people worldwide, drawn to the transparency of handmade making and the philosophy that objects matter. The things we live with shape how we live. Each piece is made slowly, with intention. No mass production. No shortcuts. Just hands, clay, and fire, in a studio that values patience and craft above all else.
Please note: as these are handmade objects, they may vary in colour, shape and size from one piece to the next. These variations are not defects. They are celebrated as part of the handmade quality of every piece.
