Handcrafted stoneware, made in Oxfordshire
A small stoneware vase, handcrafted and finished by hand in our Oxfordshire studio. It's designed for single stems and small arrangements, holding flowers with quiet grace. This piece exists at the intersection of everyday function and sculptural display. It moves easily between your table and your living space. Whether it holds fresh blooms or stands empty on display, it earns its place in your home. A considered form built for both use and looking.
Form & Character
This small vase is a quiet sculptural presence. The handcrafted form is generous but restrained, designed to fit comfortably in your hand or rest on a shelf. The piece has a gentle weight that makes it feel substantial, not fragile. When full of flowers, it anchors any space. Empty, it stands as a sculptural object in its own right. The form has subtle variations that bring life and warmth to the shape. On your desk, windowsill, or mantel, it creates a visual pause. It's a piece that rewards close looking and reveals something new with each viewing.
Made for the table, built for display
This vase lives two lives. On your table, it holds flowers with quiet grace, bringing fresh blooms into your daily space. It simply supports what you place in it. When empty, it becomes a sculptural object on display. On a shelf, a windowsill, or a mantel, it catches light differently throughout the day. You might move it with the seasons, or return to it weekly as a still point in your room. Many people rotate pieces between display and use, finding new arrangements and new light each time. It's a piece that grows richer the longer you live with it.
Handcrafted in Oxfordshire
Every piece is made in our Oxfordshire studio. The making process begins with careful clay preparation, then moves through handcrafting and finishing, followed by careful firing in our electric kiln. Small batches are made, ensuring no two pieces are exactly the same. You'll notice subtle variations in shape and surface. These aren't flaws. They're the hallmark of handmade work. We operate with full transparency about our process and craft. The story of how a piece was made, where it comes from, and by whom, matters as much as the object itself. Brooker Ceramics is built on this belief.
Quality & care
This vase is food-safe and built for living. It's fired to Cone 6, a level of heatwork that transforms the clay body into dense, hard-wearing, and non-porous material. The result is a piece that resists chipping and endures daily use. Hand-wash recommended to preserve the surface. Whether you refresh your flowers weekly or display them as they dry, this vase is made to last. The handcrafted nature makes careful handling recommended. A piece built to live with you for years.
About Brooker Ceramics
Brooker Ceramics is a handcrafted studio in Oxfordshire, making functional ware and sculptural ceramics. Every piece is made with care to last, built for both use and looking. We share our process on YouTube, where over 25,000 follow along with making, firing, and the stories behind each piece. Our philosophy is straightforward. Handmade work matters. The story behind a piece matters. Thoughtful, lasting objects belong in your home. That's what Brooker Ceramics is built on.
Please note: as these are handmade objects, they may vary in colour, shape and size from one piece to the next. These variations are not defects. They are celebrated as part of the handmade quality of every piece.
